Lacey-May is a cheeky 4-year-old who has a rare chromosome disorder and multiple respiratory problems.
She has been hospitalised many times and requires 24/7 care from her mum who is a single parent. Like many of us, this year hasn’t been easy for her family.
With 1 in 6 Aussie kids living in poverty, as well as the high costs of caring for a child with a disability and the devastating effects of the pandemic, your support this Christmas has never been more crucial.
Earlier this year, thanks to supporters like you, Lacey-May was given her first bike ever! Since then her core muscle strength and fitness have increased, and she has also found freedom, independence and inclusion. These are things that most kids would take for granted.
Will you please make a gift this Christmas to provide a disadvantaged Aussie child with their first bike? Your gift will go towards the purchase of bikes, helmets and locks to be distributed to kids across Queensland.
As mum Amanda says: “Lacey-May loves having that 1-on-1 time with her siblings when they help her on the bike. She loves that she can climb up onto it by herself, letting her older siblings know she's ready and would like some help. She also loves now being able to put her baby doll on the back of the bike for a ride too!”
Christmas is the time of giving. And right now, your kindness is more important than ever. Your donation will help Aussie kids smile!
